Chinese Ambassador to Croatia Qi Qianjin Meets with the Newly Appointed Egyptian Ambassador to Croatia Ayman Tharwat Amin Abdel Aziz

On February 14, H. E. Mr. Qi Qianjin, Chinese Ambassador to Croatia, met with H. E. Mr. Ayman Tharwat Amin Abdel Aziz, the newly appointed Egyptian Ambassador to Croatia.

Ambassador Qi congratulated Ambassador Ayman on his successful assumption of office, and said that China-Egypt relationship had been traditionally friendly. In recent years, under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries had continuously been achieving new leapfrog developments. Not long ago, China's new foreign minister, Qin Gang, visited Egypt, and once again expressed China's determination to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, as well as continuously improve the level of bilateral relations. Ambassador Qi Qianjin said that the Chinese Embassy in Croatia looked forward to strengthening exchanges and sharing cooperation experience with the Egyptian Embassy.

Ambassador Ayman  congratulated the successful convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and thanked Minister Qin Gang for choosing Egypt for his first overseas visit, which reflected the high level of bilateral relations. Ambassador Ayman said that the mutually beneficial cooperation between Egypt and China was a model of friendly cooperation between Arabian countries and China, and between Africa and China. He expressed his belief that with the joint efforts of both sides, the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries would surely achieve greater development. Ambassador Ayman added that the Egyptian Embassy was willing to maintain close communication with the Chinese Embassy.

The two sides also exchanged views on issues such as the Ukrainian crisis and the U.S. shooting down of a Chinese civilian unmanned airship, and others.
