Mr. Wang Peng, Charge d'affaires of the Embassy in Croatia, attended the Chinese Culture Workshop

On September 14, the Chinese Embassy in Croatia, the Croatian association Children for a Better World, and the Confucius Institute at the University of Zagreb co-organized a Chinese culture workshop in Samobor. Charge d'affaires Mr. Wang Peng attended and delivered a speech. Samobor Deputy Mayor Mr. Petar Burić, Chairman of the Children for a Better World Mr. Leo Petrov, and more than 100 Croatian students and parents attended the event.

Charge d'Affaires Mr. Wang said that China was a country that blended ancient and modern age, kept pace with the times, was open and inclusive, and Croatia was also a country with a long history and diverse culture. The Chinese Embassy expressed their hope that this event would stimulate the Croatian younger generation's interest in Chinese culture and encourage them to strive to be emissaries of friendship between the two countries.

The Croatian side stated that Chinese civilization was one of the most important civilizations in the world, and learning and understanding Chinese culture was very important for the younger generation of Croatia. The Croatian side said they looked forward to continuing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the Embassy.

Teachers and students of the Confucius Institute at the University of Zagreb performed dragon dance, played Chinese musical instrument guzheng, and displayed traditional Chinese culture such as calligraphy, Chinese chess, tea art, and traditional Han dynasty clothes. The atmosphere was very warm.
