On September 26, Chinese Embassy in Croatia held a reception to celebrate the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Croatian Deputy Speakers Mr. Željko Reiner, Mr. Furio Radin, and Mr. Davorko Vidović, former Presidents Mr. Stjepan Mesić and  Mr.Ivo Josipovic, former Prime Minister Ms. Jadranka Kosor, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr. Frano Matušić, as well as people from all walks of life in Croatia, ambassadors to Croatia, Chinese investors and more than 300 people, including institutions and overseas Chinese, attended.

Ambassador Qi Qianjin delivered a speech, expounding the bright prospects of China's economy and promoting the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind, Ambassador Qi stated that China was willing to work with Croatia to make good use of the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" and the cooperation mechanism between China and Central and Eastern European countries to deepen cooperation in infrastructure, new energy, trade, tourism and other fields, pushing the bilateral relations to a new level.

Mr.Reiner and Mr.Matušić delivered speeches respectively, praising China's developmental achievements, expressing the traditional friendship between Croatia and China, and looking forward to strengthening cooperation with China to create a better future.

Cultural performances, as well as Chinese culture and product displays, were arranged on site. The guests talked about friendship and the atmosphere was warm.
