On October 25, the Embassy in Croatia held a seminar on the 10th anniversary of the “Belt and Road” Initiative. Ambassador Mr. Qi Qianjin attended and delivered a speech. Nearly 50 people including former Deputy Prime Minister of Croatia Mr. Ante Simonić, the ambassadors of Kazakhstan, Indonesia, and Malaysia to Croatia, the mayor of city of Korcula, and representatives from think tanks, friendship associations, and media attended the meeting. The seminar was held in Korcula, the hometown of Marco Polo, and was co-organized by the Marco Polo International Research Center.

Ambassador Qi focused on the outcomes of the 3rd "Belt and Road" International Cooperation Summit Forum, the spirit of President Xi Jinping's important speeches, and China's eight actions to support high-quality joint construction of the "Belt and Road" Initiative, emphasizing that China is willing to work with all the countries in the world, including Croatia, to deepen the alignment of development strategies, promote the implementation of more results, and jointly build a community with a shared future for mankind.

Guests attending the meeting spoke highly of the ten-year achievements of the initiative and the outcomes of the summit forum, saying that the initiative originated from China, benefits the world, and brings important opportunities for the development and prosperity of all countries. They also offered their views and suggestions on deepening high-quality joint construction of the "Belt and Road" Initiative.
