H.E. Mr. Hu Zhaoming, Ambassador of the People's Republic to China to the Republic of Croatia Meets with Croatian Minister of Tourism H.E. Mr. Gari Cappelli

On 10th October, H.E. Mr Hu Zhaoming, Ambassador of the People's Republic to China to the Republic of Croatia met with Croatian Minister of Tourism H.E. Mr. Gari Cappelli. Two sides exchanged their opinions on further strengthening the bilateral exchanges and cooperation in the field of tourism.

H.E. Ambassador Hu Zhaoming said that this year was the 25th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Croatia and the development of bilateral relations was facing a new historical opportunity. Recently, there had been a steady increase in the number of Chinese tourists to Croatia, but there was plenty of space for growth. Ambassador Hu Zhaoming hoped that Croatia would strengthen tourism promotion in China and adopt more measures to meet the characteristics and needs of Chinese tourists. Both countries could strengthen the cooperation in the tourism industry. Ambassador Hu also encouraged Croatian side to actively participate in ''16+1'' cooperation and to compete for organizing the High Level Conference on ''16+1'' Tourism Cooperation.

H.E. Mr Gari Cappelli said that Croatia side highly valued the Chinese tourist market and would soon set up its tourism office in China and hoped that China and Croatia would soon open direct airline or chartered airplane during the tourist season. He added that Croatia supports ''16+1'' cooperation and hoped to host the High Level Conference on ''16+1'' Tourism Cooperation in the coming year in order to promote Croatia-China tourism cooperation to achieve even better development.
